please consider rewriting your message to Mrs O’Brien. It is not about your sympathy for her and her family. It is about how it has affected you. I don’t imagine it hat is the message you wanted to convey but that is what cones across.

    And you did that with more grace and respect than could ever be conveyed from most. Thank you for saying out loud, what most of us are struggling to even comprehend on any level, let alone a level of horror and grief that this family is surely enduring.

  Betty, perhaps you could write your own message. You could write it the way you feel it should be about – how it affected you. I think this message to Jennifer O’Brien is well written and very thoughtful, and it echoes how most of us feel today.

    *Not “how it affected you” but rather, about YOUR sympathy for her and her family. Goodness, posterella… surely you could have written it to better reflect Betty’s feelings.

I agree with Donna – write your own message as well! I think what posterella wrote is a sincere and lovely message! It is well thought out too – good job posterella!! Any type of support and love we or anyone can send her is valuable. I can’t imagine in her state she will pick apart any message of love and think is wasn’t sincere! I understand you wanting to offer your personal support! I think the message is very loving!!

Hellooooo! I was just introduced to your blog, specifically your vaccine post, in a vaccine debate/flame war. You capture my sentiments exactly! Then I read some of your other posts, and again…just like what’s in my head! I normally loathe blogs and would rather cut off fingers than read blogs, but yours is the lone exception. I don’t even have to finish reading some of your posts, because I can see that you are totally in line with my own thoughts. How refreshing!

Ok, so it appears technology is against me, yet again. I was trying to leave a warm fuzzy comment for you, but I was foiled by my computer. It was your vaccine post that I saw first, and you are the first person to ever capture my sentiments so accurately. I normally don’t read blogs. I loathe them, and would rather cut off my fingers than read blogs. Yours is the lone exception. I didn’t even have to read all the way through some of your posts because it was just like reading my own thoughts! Love it, love it, love it!
